Remembering
Simonne Kerr
Her Journey With The Choir
Simonne was an amazing light within the Choir and is truly missed.
Whilst dealing with her own pain after the loss of her son, Simonne still had the courage and strength to raise awareness of Sickle Cell and the need for more Black Blood Donors and then becoming a nurse working within the NHS and all whilst singing alongside other members of the choir who have Sickle Cell.
Simonne brought a smile to the faces of everyone that met her and with an infectious laugh and spirit that was pure joy to be around.
Simonne sang on Britain's Got Talent and reaching the finals with her friends and family in B Positive Choir.
Simonne's infectious and undeniable spirit was evident to all, as the Choir sang "Rise up" to thunderous applause in the finals of Britain's Got Talent and Sickle Cell as well as Blood Donation was given a larger platform world wide.
We miss you Simonne. 💔
As a choir, we felt it was important to come together at a time, when we all felt the unbelievable hurt at the tragic loss of our sister and friend and put into words, how we all felt about our Simonne and her untimely passing, as we did our best to express the massive impact she had on all of us individually and as a choir.
This video tribute expressing our grief, was without a doubt, one of the hardest things we have ever had to do as not only a choir, but as individuals saying good bye to not only our friend, but sister and family, who was so tragically taken from us too soon.
The pain we all feel will never go away or be forgotten, but as we continue to do what we do, we shall carry not only her spirit, but love for life with us, wherever we go and with whatever we do, on or off stage.
Simonne Kerr will never be forgotten and will be in our hearts always. We love and miss you.
As well as being a nurse and singing in the B Positive Choir. Simonne also dedicated her time to raise awareness of Sickle Cell and the need for more Black Blood Donors, working alongside NHS Blood and Transplant
Gathering to say goodbye
but not forgotten
